Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we’re challenging you to use the sketch as your inspiration! I decided to use the circle in the sketch to create a shaker card!
I love that little squid! I started by stamping him with copic-friendly ink and colored him with copics before die-cutting him with the coordinating die. Next I blended peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, and blueprint sketch distress oxide ink onto a piece of white cardstock to create my background. I spritzed the panel to create lighter areas that resemble bubbles and set it aside to dry.
Next I took a stitched circle die and die-cut it with a piece of white cardstock. I adhered acetate to the back and then built up a frame with a double layer of foam mounting tape. I deliberately created a frame much larger than the circle so that the squid can be almost entirely hidden below the circle and can be shaken into view! 😉 I filled the shaker with iridescent clear sequins, clear confetti, and chunky glitter. I closed up the shaker and then added a sentiment heat-embossed on black cardstock!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see how the sketch inspires you!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
