Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we’re challenging you to use this gorgeous photo as the inspiration for your creations!! As the graphic mentions you can use the colors, image, or both to inspire you!
I decided to use the colors and the theme of the photo as inspiration for my card! I started by blending chipped sapphire, faded jeans, and broken china distress ink onto a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock. I let the broken china fade to white at the top of the paper. Then I spritzed the paper with water and blotted off the excess to create the lighter drops. I also blended squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, and wild honey distress ink onto a second piece of cardstock and die-cut it with the Simple Hillside Borders to create a sandy ground. I also blended shabby shutters and bundled sage distress ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock and die-cut it with the Bayou Backdrop. I trimmed off the border of the Bayou Backdrop and adhered them behind the hillside border.
I adhered the ground to the watery background with foam mounting tape. Then I stamped the adorable manatee couple from Manatee-rific and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I also die-cut a heart from pink cardstock. I adhered the manatees and the heart to the card panel and added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal glaze to the heart. Finally I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a fishtail banner and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape.
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see your cards! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
