Good morning! I’m excited to be hopping along with Simon Says Stamp to celebrate the Friends release! The release went live last month but we’re continuing the celebration with even more inspiration! 🙂
As you probably know I’m a bit obsessed with my alcohol inks these days and I decided to pair some of the new SSS dies with a simple alcohol inked background! I started by mixing alcohol ink blending solution with alcohol inks in wild plum, raspberry, purple twilight, flamingo, and watermelon! I let the blending solution and alcohol ink mix pretty organically and left the sharp contrasts and edges where the colors met. I picked out my favorite areas of the panel and trimmed them down to 4 inch squares. (You can see what I did with the leftover scrap here)! 😉
Then I die-cut the Cosmo Flower frame die from white cardstock but made sure to tilt the die at an angle for a different look. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to lining up dies and stuff so purposefully tilting a die takes away the need to make it perfect! 😉 I die-cut the sentiments using the Hello Gorgeous and Happy Birthday dies and black cardstock. I die-cut each twice and layered them together with glossy accents. Then I adhered the sentiments to the card panels and finished the cards with a few black crystals!
P.S. I recently received the Gemini Jr and I used it for this card…holy moly, that thing is AMAZING! I am so excited to not be hand-cranking my dies through anymore…I’ll definitely share more about it soon!
