Good morning and welcome to the October 2017 release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of incredible holiday stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire October release! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post! Today I’m sharing two cards I created for this release!
I love the modern sketchy look of the Festive Florals stamp set so I did a little loose watercoloring! I stamped all the images with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored them with my Daniel Smith watercolors and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. Next I die-cut the Geometric Snow Cover-Up die from white cardstock and trimmed it down to create a lacy pattern. I adhered that to an A2 panel of white cardstock and then arranged my festive florals around the cover-up die. I used a mixture of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape to create a little extra dimension!
Then I stamped the sentiment from Festive Florals onto red cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I die-cut it with the Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag dies and adhered it to the card. Finally I added sequins in varying shades of green to finish the card!
My second card also uses Festive Florals but relegates them to more of a background effect! 😉 I stamped them onto a white card base with a variety of blue inks. Then I simply stamped the Joy to the World sentiment set with versamark and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder. I wanted to let the sentiment shine so I left it at that! 🙂 This would be a great design to mass produce in a variety of colors for quick Christmas cards!
And that’s it for day 1! I’ll be back tomorrow with more! 😉
You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop. If you get lost you can find the full hop list below! Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire October release! Good luck!

All of the samples from this release have been so pretty. I like your take on the geometric A2 die cut. New spin on what would typically be a large die. Nice!
