Here’s what I created with the kit:
I decided to use some of the add-on items to create a dimensional card! I started by die-cutting the Winter Hearth stamp and cut fireplace using Shizen watercolor paper (that was included in a previous kit). It’s a thick, textural paper and I thought it would give the look of rough bricks. Next I blended charcoal ink onto the edges of the fireplace to give it a worn grey look. Then I stamped the stockings onto red and green cardstock and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies.
Next I stamped the log onto white cardstock, masked it, and stamped again before coloring them with copic markers. Then I inked the flames with distress inks, spritzed them with water and stamped them over the log. Finally I stamped the grate with versamark and heat-embossed it with black detail embossing powder. I cut that out and adhered it behind the fireplace. I stamped the sentiment onto red cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder before adhering the fireplace to finish the card.
I love how realistic the card looks and the variety of textures and dimension!
