Here’s what I created with the kit:
I decided to use some of the add-on items to create a dimensional card! I started by die-cutting the Winter Hearth stamp and cut fireplace using Shizen watercolor paper (that was included in a previous kit). It’s a thick, textural paper and I thought it would give the look of rough bricks. Next I blended charcoal ink onto the edges of the fireplace to give it a worn grey look. Then I stamped the stockings onto red and green cardstock and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies.
Next I stamped the log onto white cardstock, masked it, and stamped again before coloring them with copic markers. Then I inked the flames with distress inks, spritzed them with water and stamped them over the log. Finally I stamped the grate with versamark and heat-embossed it with black detail embossing powder. I cut that out and adhered it behind the fireplace. I stamped the sentiment onto red cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder before adhering the fireplace to finish the card.
I love how realistic the card looks and the variety of textures and dimension!

Wonderful fireplace scene! I’m wondering that that paper you used was the handmade watercolor paper that is available for sale through Hero Arts, if so, I have some! Love the embossing on the grate to add texture and raise the grate’s image and all your other details! The flame is so realistic.
