Hello! The next exclusive STAMPtember collaboration is now available and it’s Winter is Here from The Greeting Farm! This is a limited STAMPtember set and once it sells out it’s gone for good so make sure you snag yours soon!
I have a video for today’s one layer watercolored card that you can watch below or at my YouTube channel!
I just love that little hedgehog and wanted the focus on him!
To start I stamped the hedgehog with versafine on a piece of canson montval cardstock and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes all over the panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Next I covered the hedgehog with masking fluid and watercolored the background panel with distress inks in stormy sky, faded jeans, blueprint sketch, tumbled glass, and broken china. When I was done painting the background I flicked the panel with water a few times and blotted off the excess water to create lighter spots along my snowy sky. Then I added flicks of white paint.
I used a little weathered wood distress ink to paint some shadows and dimension into the snow and then used my mijello mission gold watercolors to paint my hedgehog. I trimmed the panel down to 4 by 5 and a quarter and adhered it to a white top folding card base. Finally I added a few iridescent clear sequins to finish the card!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing week!
