Good afternoon! This week we have a fun and non-traditional color palette for our challenge!
It took me a really long time to realize that the photo was blueberries and raspberries frozen in ice…ha, but definitely a pretty palette! Here’s what I came up with!
I blended Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries distress ink onto a cardstock panel and then coated it with versamark and holographic embossing powder. Next I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter’s Woodland set with versamark and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder. I stamped some of the foliage with dark blue inks and added a branch stamped in versamark and heat-embossed with holographic embossing powder. To finish the card I attached the white panel to my glittery background panel with foam mounting tape and then adhered the background panel to a white card base. Very non-traditional colors but I think it still gives off a wintery, holiday feel!
And now it’s your turn to get crafty! We provide an inspiration palette or photo each week but really, the only rule is that you create a holiday card! For even more inspiration, check out what the rest of the Christmas Card Challenges design team has created!
Thanks so much for visiting and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hey Jess, I love this, love the blue instead of the tradional green. That’s so funny, I think because I eat blueberries and raspberry smoothies all the time I knew instantly what they were. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Blueberries and raspberries? I didn’t notice that until I read your post. I love the background you created – so pretty!
