Good afternoon! I’m squeaking in with two more cards for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I recently discovered the Coffee set from Gina K Designs and fell in love!
Isn’t it cute?!
For my first card I combined it with Gina K’s Painted Autumn stamp set! I stamped the flowers with Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink on kraft cardstock and then added shading with colored pencils and a white gel pen. I stamped the foliage with Peeled Paint distress oxide ink and then embellished it with colored pencils and my gel pen. Finally I stamped the coffee mugs, steam, and sentiment with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder.
My next card is a little bolder and features my attempts at no-line coloring with colored pencils! 😉
Man that technique continues to elude me! But I’ll keep working on it! 🙂 I stamped the coffee pot and coffee mug with unicorn white pigment ink and then blasted it quickly with a heat gun. Then I used colored pencils to color the images. I struggle with blending my polychromos as easily as I can blend prismas so I tried using thin lines rather than small circles…interesting result. I added a few accents with a white gel pen and then stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally I used the new Stitched Layers dies from Waffle Flower to create textured frames for my image. I used Blue Lagoon and Kraft cardstock from Gina K and I’ve gotta say…I’m really liking her cardstock! I’ve been using it more and more on my cards and will share some thoughts on that and her amazing inks soon! 🙂
Anyway, I definitely encourage you to head over and check out Gina K Designs! Start your weekend with a little retail therapy! 🙂 Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous day!

Love your card! I use Gina K Designs products all of the time. Glad you are sharing what you found and turning it into awesome cards.
Another STUNNING card, Jessica. You are so incredibly talented….I’m in awe! LOVE this.
Fabulous cards. I like your use of colored pencils on both.
Wow, your coloring is beautiful. i have to try this.
Oh my, this is beautiful Jess! Your coloring is AWESOME.
Again, I’m delighted to see the effects you’ve achieved with pencils, be they prismas or polys! I have quite a few polys, because I ‘thought’ they blended better than the prismas, however…that’s not always the case, as you’ve also confirmed. More practice and I’m sure I’ll figure out which works best and with what paper. Your no-line colouring doesn’t look elusive here; rather, you appear to have it mastered! The lines create WOW shading….Love both! AND….you’ve inspired me to do some colouring on kraft!
Hugs~carol
