Hello! The new Simon Says Stamp August card kit is now live and I’ve got two quick cards to share using items from the kit! All the kit items are also available for purchase individually though the kit is well worth it as a whole! 🙂
I like to challenge myself to only use kit items when they arrive and this month it was quite easy as there are a ton of coordinating products to play with! I especially loved the embossing powder that came with the kit! It is so gorgeously sparkly!
I like the look of metallics with marble so decided to customize the patterned paper that comes with the kit. I swiped the edge of the patterned paper with versamark and heat-embossed it with metallic embossing powder. I kept things pretty simple and just added a strip of mint cardstock and adhered them to a white cardstock base. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the included set using slate dye ink. Clean and simple but with lots of sparkle!
I usually don’t use stickers on my cards but the kit comes with a sheet of puffy stickers that helped to create a card super quickly! Plus they reminded me of my childhood and my puffy Strawberry Shortcake stickers! 😉
For my second card I pieced some of the patterned papers together and then added more embossing to one of the marble papers. I adhered them together and finished the card with a sentiment sticker and a few accent stickers.
Both cards are a little out of my normal wheelhouse but I really love how they both turned out! Head here to pick up your Simon Says Stamp August card kit and don’t forget to subscribe to the kits to make sure you never miss one! 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day! 🙂
P.S. I have a fun giveaway coming to my instagram account tomorrow…you can follow me on instagram here!

If this is a repeat of my comment, forgive me…the computer burped and I lost the original content. Anyway, what I said was, Impressed by how you managed to apply that gorgeous, glittery embossing powder on the patterned paper so it looked like wavelets lapping at a shoreline. Both cards are truly wonderful…like the use of the stickers a lot. I never know how to use them.

So glad I saw your post. Was thinking of passing on this kit, but your cards are lovely. I can see possibilities I had not imagined. TFS
