Good morning and Happy New Year’s Eve!! As I did in 2015 and 2016, I am sharing my 12 favorite cards of 2017! Here they are, in no particular order:

As I looked back through my cards this year I was amused to find an overwhelming number of cards feature pink, ocean scenes, metallic elements, interactive elements, watercolors or alcohol inks, or any combination of those 6 characteristics! 😉 Some of my preferences may change slightly from year to year but those characteristics are definitely engrained in my design aesthetic! 😉 Perhaps in 2018 I should resolve to use more green and orange! 🙂
I also wanted to take some time to acknowledge all of my blog readers, social media followers, and personal cheerleaders! Your comments, likes, shares, and follows are really appreciated and you keep me inspired to keep creating! I am so grateful for your support and friendship and look forward to another wonderful year together!!
Thanks so much for visiting and cheers to a happy and healthy 2018!!
And to celebrate a fabulous crafty year and usher in a new year I wanted to provide one of my readers with a little crafty shopping spree! 😉 Please leave a comment and let me know if any of these cards were your favorite or if you had another one in mind for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Simon Says Stamp! Leave a comment before 11:59PM EST on January 7th, 2018 and the winner will be announced on my Giveaway Winners page on January 8th!

All of these cards are simply beautiful, Jessica! I do have to say that one of my favorites is the mermaid card. Not only is is beautiful and a bit sassy, but it was also my introduction to Yupo. I’ve only begun to play with it, but this card inspired me to purchase some and dig out my alcohol inks.

As I was looking through the cards, my first thought was that I loved your Mother’s Day card, and then I saw the penguin card and loved the background sky on that one, and then I fell in love with the anniversary card, and then I was bowled over by the “Wishing you a Magical Birthday” card, but if I had to choose a favorite from your favorites, I think I would choose the floral “You Make My World Brighter”…or maybe the “Warm Winter Wishes” – OK, I just really can’t choose one – they are all beautiful! Thank you for the opportunity to win a shopping spree at SSS. I’m now bookmarking your site to further explore the blog posts on your (and my) favorite cards!

The common threads that run through all your cards (those here and all others) are: your phenomenal eye for colour, from vibrant to muted; your impeccable skills in composition, where *the* perfect images are married to the luscious backgrounds you create; and your enthusiastic passion for design that comes through loud and clear, both in the language of your posts and the visual impact of your creations! You are, indeed, an incredibly talented artist and a true sweetheart! Choosing a favourite? EEK! So many but…from the array of WOW here, I’m captivated by the GD florals for Ellen Hutson. YOU have convinced me to give alcohol inks a try (given that water-colouring is so not happening for me!). Happy New Year!
Hugs~c
