Welcome back to the 5 for 5 Easter Blog Hop! Each day our five designers will post an Easter project based on that day’s theme. Today’s theme is one of my favorites, watercolor! Some of us are offering prizes (including me!), so make sure to hop to each designer and leave comments!
Here are the links for the other designers! Giveaway info is at the bottom of my post!
Here’s my watercolor card!
I started off by stamping the Papertrey Ink daffodil with Hero Arts Soft Vanilla ink on watercolor paper. Then I smushed Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks onto an acrylic block and started painting! I used the outline from the soft vanilla ink to give me a general guideline. I used less water to get darker shades and a more concentrated color. After I was happy with the way it looked I let it dry completely. Then I painted frisket over the flower to protect it and flicked Forest Moss and Squeezed Lemonade distress ink over the card. Once I was done splattering ink I rubbed off the frisket.
I stamped the sentiment on vellum with Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I attached the sentiment to the back of the watercolor piece and then mounted it to a top-folding yellow cardstock base.
GIVEAWAY:
At the end of the hop I will be selecting one random commenter to win a fun spring-themed package full of fun stamping goodies! Every comment will earn you a chance to win so make sure and stop by everyday! This giveaway is open to US and international commenters!
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the hop!!
