Good morning! I’ve got another quick and easy card for you today! This month I’ll try to alternate more intensive cards with simpler technique-based cards to vary things a little! 🙂
You can watch the video below or at my Youtube channel here.
First I taped the Harvest stencil from Simon Says Stamp over a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock. Then I started at the top and blended a rainbow of distress inks across the stencil. I used candied apple, ripe persimmon, mustard seed, twisted citron, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet distress inks. After adding a new color I went back with the previous blending tool to blend the colors together. Once I was happy with the blending I removed the stencil and let the distress inks dry for a few minutes while I cleaned off my stencil.
Once the inks were dry I rotated the stencil to create a pattern on the ink blended background and then taped it down again. This time I pressed a clear embossing ink pad over the stencil firmly until all of the exposed parts of the cardstock were covered with embossing ink. I removed the tape and then heat-embossed the panel with wow hologram clear sparkle embossing powder. This embossing powder picks up the colors in your panel and reflects them to create a super sparkly design!
Next I die-cut the Huge Big Thank You die with black cardstock four times. I adhered them together with liquid adhesive and then adhered them to the stenciled panel. Finally I added a few black sequins to finish the card!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic holiday!
