I just loved this cute little raccoon and couldn’t wait to stick him in a big pile of fall leaves!
First I stamped the sentiment in an ombre pattern down the center of my card. I lined up the sentiment on the lid of my MISTI and stamped it with duckling, melon, apricot, and watermelon ink from Simon Says Stamp. When I finish stamping I placed the panel on a scrap piece of paper and flicked it with watered down distress inks in mustard seed, ripe persimmon, and wild honey. When it was dry I stamped several leaves from the stamp set across the panel and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I trimmed an eighth of an inch off each side of the panel and adhered it to a black card panel!
Next I stamped the raccoon, cup, and leaves onto white cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I colored them with copics and fussy cut each image. Next I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. I also die-cut a heart from vellum and adhered my raccoon to it. I added the sentiment label with foam mounting tape and then arranged the leaves across the sentiment and glued them down individually. Finally I added a few accents with a white gel pen, spectrum noir clear sparkle, and nuvo crystal glaze. Off camera I also added a few gold jewels for a little extra sparkle!
