A Blog Named Hero: Challenge – Interactive Cards

Good morning!  It’s time for the second half of the A Blog Named Hero design team to share additional inspiration for our June challenge!  This month is all about interactive cards with our collaboration company, Chibitronics, and here’s what I created!

And here’s what it looks like when you press the top right of the fireplace (where the battery is hidden!):

To start I stamped my fireplace and cuddling cat and bird from Welcome Home onto white cardstock with copic-friendly intense black ink and colored them with copics.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the cat and then fussy cut the fireplace.  I poked three small holes in the flames for the light to shine through.  I used a pencil to mark where my fireplace would go on my card base and then stamped the sentiment to the side.  I built my Chibitronics circuit on the card base and then added a triple layer of foam tape around the circuit.

Finally I adhered my fireplace over the circuit and added my cuddly pair with a little foam mounting tape!
