Good morning! It’s time for the second half of the A Blog Named Hero design team to share additional inspiration for our October challenge! This month is all about cute critters with our collaboration company, Lawn Fawn, and here’s what I created!
The leaves are finally starting to change color and each day we have more beautiful shades of red, yellow, and orange in the yard! So I decided to create a fun autumn scene for the challenge! I started by stamping the color layering autumn trees with a variety of distress inks, spritzing them lightly with water before stamping. After stamping the trunks I stamped a final layer of leaves with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder.
Next I colored my cute hedgehog and rake from Jump for Joy with copic markers and fussy cut them. I added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to the hedgehog’s cheek and a few accents with a white gel pen. Then I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Trees onto dark red cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a label and adhered it to the scene. Finally I trimmed the scene down and adhered it to a dark red card base!
I can’t wait to see what you’ll create for our Calling All Critters challenge! Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day! 🙂
