Busy day on the blog! For my Simon Says Stamp Fun and Festive Blog Hop post please scroll down or click here!
Today I created three clean and simple holiday cards! I always try to have a few mass-produceable designs every year for the inevitable time I need a quick card! My first card uses the absolutely gorgeous Brilliant Baubles set!
It’s rare that I create a one layer card but with intricate designs as beautiful as these all you need is ink! I used Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, and Ruby Red to stamp my layered images and added the trendy sentiment in Ruby Red ink!
For my next pair of cards I focused on the smaller sets for these designs!
For the first card I masked off part of the panel and stamped the Poinsettia Pieces in various shades of grey inks. Then I stamped the sentiment from an older set: Holiday Wishes. For the second card I stamped the bottom layer of the flowers onto the panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I added the second layer with versamark and gold embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from Brilliant Baubles onto the panel and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder! Simple but these will definitely be designs I reach for when the holidays get busy! 😉

What fabulous monochrome looks. I love seeing uses of the smaller stamps, because they so rarely get love. Thanks for sharing these great ideas with us!

Great cards. I love how you didn’t choose tradition red and green for the baubles. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.

I always like ideas for mass-produced cards, and yours fit that bill! Love the way you did the ornament card, and I also like the non-traditional grays for the poinsettias! Thanks for your inspiration.

Beautiful cards! Love that you used the poinsettia pieces stamp set and made stunning cards with it. I appreciate that Altenew made some smaller stamp and die sets that don’t cost a lot. It allows those of us that need to watch our money to get something new and not feel guilty. It would be awesome if they had 1 or 2 sets like this in each release. Beautiful one layer bauble card too. I agree that with the intricate details all you need is ink for their beauty to shine!

All three cards are awesome, I do love quick & easy (as I call it lol). I love the pink/red combination on the Brilliant Baubles, the black and gold card is very elegant. These definitely will be in my stash this year, thanks for the inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
