Good morning! I am so excited to help Altenew celebrate their FIFTH anniversary today! They’re having FOUR days of blog hops with lots of exciting prizes from Altenew and their exciting sponsors! You can find all the giveaways details at the bottom of my post!
Today I created a card using one of my favorite Altenew sets, the Build-A-Flower Morning Glory. I love morning glories and this set is gorgeous!
To start I stamped a bunch of morning glory flowers using a variety of inks from Simon Says Stamp and Altenew before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. One crafty tip: for the stamps that include a flower, stem, and leaves I recommend die-cutting the die first and then using the negative as a guide for where to place your stamps. Otherwise it’s easy to be slightly off in your stamping and then the die doesn’t work. *Ahem* I may or may not have stamped like three of them before realizing that…*sigh*. Ha. Also, the MISTI is a miracle tool for repetitive layered stamping like this! 😉
Next I stamped the curly vines with black ink on dark grey cardstock. I arranged the flowers over the panel and adhered them with a mix of ATG adhesive and foam mounting tape. I stamped the sentiment using Silver Stone and Industrial Diamond ink and die-cut them to thin labels. I adhered them over the panel with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few clear drops!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ALTENEW!! Here’s to many, MANY more!! 🙂

Yes, using the negative of the die cut sounds like a time saver in the long run. Thank you for that tip, and great card.
