I adore the new Color Layering Fuchsia floral set! I started my card by loosely watercoloring seedless preserves distress ink onto a piece of watercolor paper. After it dried I stamped the fuchsia stem with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Next I stamped the first layer with mulled wine hybrid ink before stamping the second layer with unicorn white pigment ink. I sped up the drying process with my heat gun and then used my anti-static powder tool all over the stamped flowers. Finally I stamped the top layer with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. The unicorn white pigment ink lightens the hybrid ink just enough to show as two different shades.
I trimmed the watercolor panel down to 4″x5.5″ and mounted it on a black card base. Then I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Messages onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a label shape and adhered it to the watercolor panel with foam mounting tape. To finish the card I added a sprinkling of metallic gold sequins.

Beautiful coloring…love the tonal effect on the blooms and that striking, bold gold. The soft background is the perfect counter point to the vibrant flowers. Just amazingly designed.
