This is my second post for today! For day 1 of the Lil’ Inker Designs January release (and giveaway) please scroll down or click here!
Good afternoon! One of my New Year’s resolutions was to set aside some time each week to look through some of my older stamp sets and give them some love! 😉 Today I chose the Uplifting Thoughts set from Simon Says Stamp which has some of my most favorite sentiments ever and paired it with one of the new dies that was released during Diecember!
It’s been a dreary few days around here so I needed something bright and cheerful on my workspace! I started by watercoloring a piece of watercolor paper with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors in shades of purple, pink, and red. I did three layers of each color for a really saturated look, letting it dry until it was just barely damp in between coats. I also splattered water droplets across the panel. Once it was totally dry I die-cut it with the Corbel Heart wafer die. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a white cardbase with foam mounting tape.
Next I stamped the sentiment from Uplifting Thoughts onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and attached it to the watercolor panel with foam mounting tape. Finally I finished the card with a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins that I adhered across the watercolor panel and underneath the Corbel Heart die.
And that’s my attempt to brighten up your week! I hope you’re always confident, brave, and amazing! Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!
