So a few weeks ago I posted this card using Mama Elephant’s Botanic Hello but I really wasn’t happy with it. I’m always striving to improve my coloring skills and shading with zig markers is definitely a challenge for me. I LOVE the way they blend on watercolor paper so I decided to to give it another go!
I stamped the image in versafine and heat-embossed it in clear embossing powder. I used the same zig markers for the flowers and leaves but used grey for the sentiment and the shading. I wanted to change things up a bit so I die cut the hello from Simon Says Stamps Hand-Lettered Greetings from black cardstock and adhered it over the watercolored image. I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a black card base. Finally I added a sprinkling of glossy black sequins to finish the card!
It’s not perfect but I’ll keep working at it! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!

Such a pretty card! Both are nice I think. I maybe lean just slightly towards the black.
