I finally had a chance to get back in my craft room and I started out with a card featuring a Brentwood Owl set from Jessica Lynn Original! This is the Fairytale Peter, Wendy, and Tinkerbelle set although I decided to just use Peter and Tink (Wendy was always my least favorite character in the movie…).
My card is intentionally generic and could be used for a birthday, encouragement, or just to say hello! When designing my card I wanted it to be sparkly and cheerful and I think I was successful!
I started off by (eek) cutting apart the Peter and Tink stamp because I wanted to be able to stamp the images separately from each other. I tried to use post-it tape to cover the different characters but wasn’t able to get clean edges without cutting them apart. Don’t worry though, the stamps didn’t scream and they’re totally fine to be cut apart! I stamped Peter and Tink onto a piece of Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. Then I colored both characters with copics and added a little wink of stella to Tink’s wings.
Next I worked on the fairy dust swirl…I stamped the little star and dot images from the stamp set with a silver pigment ink and let it dry thoroughly. Then I started coloring with the clear wink of stella glitter pen and created the swoosh across the card front. I cut the word ‘magical’ with my Silhouette Cameo and colored the word with a silver wink of stella glitter pen. The rest of the words came from various stamp sets that I masked to get the exact words I needed. Finally I added a few silver glitter dots for a little added sparkle and mounted it onto a glitter cardstock base.
This was a really fun stamp set to work with and I see many more ways of using it for cards, tags, party invitations, and more! I hope you’ll check it (and the rest of Jessica Lynn Original’s stamps) out!
