Good morning! Today is the November release from Concord & 9th and I’m so excited to share cards using the innovative and awesome Hexagon Designer dies! I also have a video to share showing different ways to use the die that you can watch below or over at my YouTube channel!
First off I used the individual hex pieces cut from the die to create two patterned cards!
My first card uses white and black cardstock with gold glitter cardstock on a black cardstock panel. I added a sentiment from the Tall Type Alphabet dies!
My second card uses two shades of teal cardstock with bright red on a white panel. I also used the Tall Type Alphabet dies to finish this card!
Next I used the long zig zag dies to cut strips from a rainbow of cardstock scraps. I applied double-sided adhesive to the back of a panel of white cardstock and then die-cut it with the Hexagon panel die. I poked out the hex pieces and reserved them for a future card. Then I turned the panel over and removed the adhesive backing. I placed my first strip in place and then lined up the rest of the rainbow. The zig zags just need to be fitted right against each other and then they’ll be lined up perfectly behind the panel die! It’s GENIUS!! A vellum banner and die-cut sentiment from the older Hey There die set completed this card!
Next I created another rainbow panel and this time I used the Kindness Blooms dies to create my sentiment. I added them over a tangle of black thread and finished the card with a few black sequins!
I hope this gives you some ideas for the new Hexagon dies! There are so many fun ways to use these to create patterns and backgrounds! I can’t wait to share more using them soon! And make sure you head over and check out the full Concord & 9th release because there are so many more great products available now!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

these are all stunning! Before reading your post, I thought you glued down all the colored hexies on the rainbow cards and was thinking “WOW! That must’ve taken a lot of time”. How smart to use scraps to create a this fun colorful background with less work 🙂
