Good morning! I don’t know about you but I feel like I’ve been looking forward to this day for forever!! And now it’s finally here!! The Concord & 9th Color Collection is now available!!! If you’re a regular reader you know that I’ve been a die-hard Concord & 9th fan for years and I could not be more excited for Greg and the awesome team behind Concord & 9th! I have LOTS to share this month but I’m starting off with a pair of cheery cards using some of my favorite cardstock colors in the Color Collection!
If you’ve seen photos of my craft room you know that these shades of coral, teal, and navy are kinda my thing…ha, they’re also my blog colors! 😉 Anyway, these are super simple and quick cards to create but I love how they turned out! I die-cut the rick rack shape using a die from the Hexagon set. I’m using Sorbet, Grapefruit, Aqua Sky, Oceanside, and Midnight for my design!
I arranged the colors on my A2 panel and adhered them in the center. Then I die-cut the hexagon shape from the new set: Hexagon Label twice with vellum and the sentiment from Forever Flower twice with white cardstock. I adhered the layers together to get a thicker (and less transparent) sentiment and then adhered them over the rick rack design to finish the card! Simple and quick! 🙂 And perfect for mass-producing in your favorite colors!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I’d love to know your favorite colors of the new Color Collection! 😉

The design may be simple and quick, but it is a really pretty card. Love the colors you used together.

I don’t understand how you did the zigzags.

Hi Cindy, it’s a die from Concord and 9th that cuts the cardstock in that shape! Then I just have to lay them side by side and glue them down! It’s the Hexagon Designer die set. Hope that helps!
