Good morning! Have you recovered from the excitement of the Concord & 9th Color Collection release yesterday?!? Well hold onto your cardstock because we’re sharing even more inspiration using the fabulous new inks and cardstocks every Friday all month long!! 🙂 Today we’re focusing on our favorite color combos and I had so much fun with the combo from yesterday that I kept going and made another trio of cards! 🙂
I love shades of coral and teal with a dark navy blue and the colors in Concord & 9th’s collection are the perfect shades for me! To start I used a paper trimmer to cut strips of varying width from cardstock in Grapefruit, Sorbet, Aqua Sky, Oceanside, and Midnight. Then I took an 8.5×11″ piece of white cardstock and added adhesive across the whole page. I randomly adhered the strips mixing different up the orders and widths until they covered the entire panel.
Next I cut the panel down into a variety of sizes to adhere to top-folding card bases. I also die-cut a leftover piece of panel with the Hexagon Label die. Then I die-cut sentiments from Forever Flower and Hexagon Label dies using white cardstock. To finish the card I simply adhered the sentiments to the panels. I’m hoping to make more cards like these using different palettes because they’re quite fun to create and also super quick and easy! I think these three cards (and I have leftover panel pieces to make more cards) took me less than 10 minutes from start to finish!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic weekend!
