Good evening! The mailman dropped off the July Concord & 9th release this afternoon and I couldn’t wait to dive in and play! I LOVED the sneak peeks of the Popsicle Party layering stencil set and combined it with the Sweet Summer bundle to create some fun summery cards!
For my first card I placed the Popsicle Party solid stamp layer onto a panel of white cardstock and blended a rainbow of inks across the panel using Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, Buttercup, Sea Glass, and Aqua Sky inks. Then I placed the popsicle stick layer over the panel and blended Wheat ink to create the sticks. Next I placed one of the decorative layers over the popsicles and applied a thin layer of glitter paste over the panel and let it dry. While it was drying I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Summer and trimmed it down to a thin label. Once the panel was dry I adhered the sentiment with foam mounting tape.
For the second card I blended the same colors onto the Sweet Summer popsicle and popsicle stick shapes. I placed the two column design over the popsicle and blended the same colors onto the stencil to darken it. Then I applied a layer of glitter paste to add even more sparkle. I let that dry and die-cut a panel of black cardstock with the clever Double Stripe card front die and added a sentiment from Sweet Summer. Once the popsicle was dry I die-cut it with the coordinating dies and then adhered it over a tangle of metallic silver thread and foam mounting tape to finish the card!
Definitely head over and check out the rest of the July release from Concord & 9th! I’m excited to try out the Blended Petals bundle next!
