Good morning! I’m back to share more inspiration using the fabulous August release from Concord & 9th! Today I’m focusing on the Autumn Harvest and Vintage Artichoke bundles!
First up is the Vintage Artichoke!
I decided to play around with some mixed metallics and stark black cardstock! First I stamped the artichoke off center and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I stamped the artichoke several more times with versamark and heat-embossed different artichokes with either gold, brass, or platinum embossing powder. Then I used the coordinating die to die-cut the leaves of the gold tinsel artichoke and curled up the leaves with my fingers. I adhered the black panel over gold glitter cardstock so you can see hints of the gold behind the leaves. Finally I stamped a punny sentiment from Winter Wear onto black cardstock, heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder, and adhered it with foam mounting tape. Simple but striking! 🙂 The different metallics are really eye-catching in person!
My second card uses the Autumn Harvest bundle as well as the pretty Woven Plaid background! I started by stamping the plaid background onto dark chocolate cardstock with dark chocolate ink for a tone on tone background. I trimmed it down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it to a dark chocolate cardstock base. I decided on a slightly less conventional fall color palette and die-cut rose pink, warm yellow, and eggplant purple leaves from the Autumn Harvest die set. I also die-cut the grateful word from the yellow leaf and placed a piece of clear tape behind the die to keep the letters in place. I also die-cut three leaves from a brown glitter cardstock and adhered them at an off set behind the cardstock leaves. I adhered the pink and purple leaves to the background panel and then popped up the yellow leaf with foam mounting tape to finish the card! I really love how this turned out and look forward to experimenting with more unusual fall color palettes! 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!!

You’ve gotten right to the heart of that gorgeous artichoke, Jess! I am particularly fond of those gorgeous edible flower buds – yes, they do bloom! – as it was on my business cards from my catering business – the real ones also make the most beautiful tea-light holders!
I may just have to have that one… wink.
Gorgeous cards, my friend!
