…Minimal stamping…but definitely not minimal die-cutting! 😉
Good morning! Well my Concord & 9th package decided to take a scenic route across the US but when it finally showed up I immediately reached for the beautiful new Fresh Cut Florals edition 4 and my favorite Concord & 9th cardstocks! I was torn between which color palette to use so I ended up making two cards and I’d love to know which one you prefer! 🙂 I love using navy blue on my Christmas cards so for my first card I paired it with glittery gold and warm reds and corals!
I die-cut the foliage and poinsettia centers from Fresh Cut Florals edition 4 with gold glitter cardstock and then used Poppy, Sorbet, and Grapefruit for the flowers. I also stamped the pretty sentiment from Peace on Earth with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder on Midnight cardstock before die-cutting it with the coordinating die.
I layered the flowers onto the card panel and then adhered them with a mix of liquid adhesive and foam mounting tape. I also used my fingers to curl up the flower petals a bit for more dimension. Then I attached the sentiment with a double layer of foam tape so it would stand out. This is definitely not a super easy to mail card but I love the mix of textures and dimension!
My second card is a much more wintery Christmas card! I die-cut the foliage and flower centers from silver glitter cardstock and then die-cut the flowers from Aqua Sky, Oceanside, and white cardstock.
I repeated the same process as my first card but this time I decided to fill the card panel with the pretty flowers and foliage. I kinda focused two swags of poinsettias in the top right and bottom left corner and then filled in with the foliage and smaller flowers! Honestly I love the warmth of the first card but I also love the icy feel of the second…your thoughts? 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday!!
