Where Creativity Meets C9: Challenge 22 – Sparkle and Shine

Good morning!  Today we’re starting a new challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9 and it’s Sparkle and Shine!!  You can find all the details and the rest of the design team’s creations here!  Plus we’re introducing a new design team member today! 😉

We are sponsored by the fantastic Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree and our favorite entry will be asked to guest-design for a future challenge!  Surprisingly I decided to go subtle with my sparkle and shine…here’s what I created:

Angie and Greg generously sent me the June release to play with and I fell head over heels for the adorable City Stacks set!  To start I stamped the city layer and sentiment with versamark onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I die-cut it with the coordinating die and also die-cut a heart.  I colored the heart with copic markers, added a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal glaze.

Next I stamped the little stars in the sky with versamark on a white card base and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I adhered the city layer and heart with foam mounting tape and then added a little nuvo crystal glaze to a few of the windows.  CAS but the metallic embossing powders and spectrum noir clear sparkle marker add just the right amount of sparkle and shine! 😉
