Hello! Today I’m popping in to share the first week of my coloring for The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge! I’ve been sharing daily on instagram but just in case you’ve missed it here’s what I’ve been up to this week! I plan to create cards using all of these colored images all month long and can’t wait to share those with you! 🙂
If you’ve never heard of The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge before I encourage you to head here and read all about Kathy Rac’s amazing creation! I’m not always able to participate in the challenges everytime but it’s summer break around here and I’m really trying to fit it in! 🙂 So anyway, here’s week one!
Day 1: On the Beach from Lawn Fawn with copic markers! I already created a card using this set you can find here!
Day 2: Unicorn Tales from Hello Bluebird with copic markers! I also created a card using this set you can find here and I have another card to share with this set later this month!
Day 3: Summer Cuddly Critters from Simon Says Stamp with prismacolor colored pencils!
Day 4: Polar Greetings from Hero Arts with Daniel Smith Watercolors!
Day 5: Seahorsin’ Around from Lawn Fawn with copic markers!
Day 6: Beautiful Bloom from My Favorite Things with copic markers!
Whew, all the markers for day 7! 😉 Bookworm from Mama Elephant with copic markers!
And that’s it for the first week! I can’t wait to share more with you soon! 😉 Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

WOW Jess ! You’ve got some awesome work there, haven’t been able to follow Instagram this time as the gremlins are at play again so I’m so inspired by what you’ve shown today. Thank you for sharing x

What do you use to cut your images? Scan N Cut?
Do you cut before or after you color?
jessica frost-ballas says
Hi Meghan, I use the coordinating dies to cut my images after I’ve colored them. I used to use my Scan N Cut but they just don’t get as nice an edge as the dies can. I used to die-cut first and then color to make sure I wouldn’t make a mistake die-cutting and waste all that coloring but now I add a piece of washi tape to the dies to make sure they don’t shift around and haven’t had a problem!
