Good morning and Happy Monday! I’m popping in to remind you that Free Shipping Days have begun over at Colorado Craft Company and that the giveaways are still available for a few more days! I’m also sharing two more cards I created using the newest Anita Jeram release ‘The Way of Water.‘
I love those adorable seagulls from Seas the Day and wanted to feature them in a card! I stamped them with copic friendly ink and colored them with copic markers. Then I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and colored around some of the edges to match my background!
For the background, I blended abandoned coral, dried marigold, and scattered straw distress oxide ink for my sky and chipped sapphire, salty ocean, and tumbled glass for the water. I left a little white in between the two for some contrast. I splattered the panel with shimmer spray and water and then stamped a sentiment on the top right corner. I adhered my seagulls with foam mounting tape and added a few accents with a white gel pen to help them blend into the background!
My second card was definitely a little more labor intensive but I think it was worth it! I started by stamping the Mermaid and Penguins image onto distress heavystock cardstock with versafine and heat-embossing it with clear embossing powder. I stamped it a second time onto masking paper. Then I fussy cut the masks and placed them over the mermaid, penguins, and sea grass. I blended chipped sapphire, prize ribbon, uncharted mariner, and peacock feathers distress oxide ink over the panel on a diagonal. I dried the panel with my heat gun and then splattered it with water, shimmer spray, and silver opaque ink. I let it dry completely and then carefully peeled up the masks.
I colored the images with copic markers and then started to add some fun sparkly details! I used a shimmer pen to color the bubbles which lightened the distress oxide ink (I didn’t mask those) and also added sparkle. Then I applied nuvo crystal glaze to the bubbles, and parts of the mermaid’s tail and sprinkled it lightly with chunky and prisma glitter. I didn’t apply it fully over the glaze so you can see parts of the glaze around the glitter! I also added some accents with a white gel pen and finished the card with a sentiment from Mini Walrus!
And that’s it! I hope this gives you some inspiration for the new ‘The Way of Water’ release and you can see my first card using this release HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Dear Jessica – I love both of these. I am partial to aquatic scenes and you’ve knocked it out of the park, so to speak, in both of these cardfronts. Gorgeous! Love the background of the gull card as well as the gull images themselves. The mermaid card is dreamy and ethereal……
