Hello and welcome back to another week of Christmas Card Challenges! This week we have a beautiful photo for your inspiration! I love the sparkly silver and blue ornaments with the stars! When I first saw the photo, though, I looked at the color scheme and stars and thought Hanukkah!
Here’s my card:
I started off by taking a blue cardstock and prepping it with a powder tool. Then I stamped the Star of David from the Lawn Fawn Happy Hanukkah stamp set in random patterns over the cardstock with Versamark ink. I heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder and then trimmed it down to a 5.25″ by 4″ piece. I took a piece of white cardstock cut to standard A2 size and stamped the edges with Versamark before heat-embossing it with Ranger silver embossing powder. I stamped and heat-embossed it twice to get a nice smooth silver shine.
Next I stamped the sentiment and menorah with Versamark and heat-embossed it with the same silver embossing powder. I colored the flames using Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold distress inks. I made sure to paint a little of the yellow outside of the actual flame outline to give it the appearance of glowing flames! I adhered the layers together with my ATG gun and voila! 🙂
I hope you’ll play along this week (maybe you’ll find your card on our Facebook page!) and make sure to visit our talented design team for more inspiration!
