I have to say, when I saw the adorable Christmas Hats set I just knew I’d have to attempt to color them like my crazy furry duo, Gambit and Havok. I stamped the two images with copic-friendly ink, masked them off and blended my background. I used chipped sapphire, pine needles, and salvaged patina distress oxide ink for my blend and I like the slightly non-traditional holiday feel it gives my card! It also pairs really nicely with Christmas red!
I removed the masks and colored the images with copic markers. I used toner grays for the ground and neutral grays for the dog and cat to give them a little contrast. Once I was done coloring and the background was completely dry I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Quick Cards onto the panel and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. Finally I added a little nuvo crystal glaze to the dog’s nose and the pom poms and sprinkled the pom poms with glitter to finish the card!
In case you haven’t seen my furry duo, here’s the inspiration for my card:

This is my favorite card. I have an Aussie who is black, brown and white..And a huge cat who is black. Hard to tell them apart when they are close to each other.
Thank you for sharing.
