Good morning! I’m so excited to be hopping along to celebrate the newest and exclusive Halloween Anita Jeram release from Colorado Craft Company! There are seven new sets with coordinating dies (including some Lovely Legs and Big and Bold sets!) and I’m sharing a card using Hang in There!
Apparently I have a thing for bats this year!
I started by stamping the bats and sentiment onto a panel of distress heavystock with copic friendly black ink. I also stamped the bats on masking paper and fussy cut masks. I temporarily adhered the masks over the stamped bats and then placed a large circle mask over the panel to create my moon. I blended tumbled glass, salty ocean, blueprint sketch, villainous potion, and black soot distress oxide ink to create my spooky night sky. I splattered the sky with water, shimmer spray, and white gouache and let it dry completely.
Next I removed the moon mask, and placed the negative mask over my blended sky. Then I blended a little antique linen and scattered straw distress oxide ink randomly over the moon. I also splattered it with a little water and shimmer spray to create some dimension. Finally I removed all the masks and colored the bats with warm grey copic markers. I used W1, W3, W5, W7, and W9 along with a tiny bit of R02 on the ears of the largest bat. To finish the card, I added a few accents with a white gel pen.
And that’s it! Make sure to check out the full release as well as all the other gorgeous Anita Jeram designs that Colorado Craft Company has to offer! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!
