Good morning! We’re kicking off the countdown to the Hero Arts February My Monthly Hero kit today and I’m sharing a card using the new kit!
There’s a fun watercolor dot card included in the kit that I used to paint the background for this dreamy fantastical card! I pressed an embossing & watermark ink over the entire dried panel and then heat-embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. I fussy cut the fun door scene and colored it with copic markers before adding it to my sunrise background!
And that’s it for me! Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the February My Monthly Hero kit all weekend long!! And then I’ll be back Monday with the full kit reveal!!
For a chance to win a kit before you can buy it, just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, February 7th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

I am so intrigued by the sneak peeks about this surreal looking kit. Love stamps with buildings, doors, windows etc. Your card is exceptional Jess & your remained true to your blog heading, All the Sparkle. Thank you for the tip of putting your embossing pad over the background & adding the powder. I wouldn’t have thought of that, but it makes a huge difference.

Yes the fantasy dreamy feel to the card is wonderful. I really like the background and the sentiment is great, too. Am already tempted to buy the kit because of the sentiment stamps! Then I need to learn how to make those beautiful backgrounds!
