Good afternoon! It’s an Anything Goes week at Christmas Card Challenges and I had so much fun making my card! I saw this sentiment stamp online a few weeks after Christmas and I had to have it! My dad was a meteorologist and oceanographer for the US Navy while I was growing up and this card will definitely be going to him next year! 😉
Isn’t that a fun (and very true) sentiment? I love it! So, to create my card I started off by stamping the snowflake background stamp onto a white cardstock and heat-embossing it with white embossing powder. Then I blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire distress ink over the white cardstock. After I was finished blending I used a paper towel to buff any excess distress ink off of the embossed snowflakes. Next I stamped my sentiment on dark blue cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I hand tore the edge of the cardstock and then tore a slightly larger piece of vellum to frame my sentiment. I adhered both to the snowflake panel and added a sprinkling of Glass Slippers sparkling clear sequins for a little extra sparkle!
And now it’s your turn to get crafty! We provide an inspiration palette or photo each week but really, the only rule is that you create a holiday card! For even more inspiration, check out what the rest of the Christmas Card Challenges design team has created!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic day!
