Good afternoon and welcome to another Anything Goes Challenge at Christmas Card Challenges! There are no rules this week except to create a holiday card! So break out those stamps and get crafty! Here’s my card:
I love the Mondo Magnolia stamp set and matching dies from Ellen Hutson and wanted to use it to make a music-themed Christmas card. I started off by stamping the magnolia three times on staff paper, turning the paper slightly each time so the music lines wouldn’t line up. I stamped it with versamark and then heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Next I use the matching dies to cut the flowers into three parts. I used an embossing stylus to go over the individual petals so they would curl upward slightly. Next I used a sponge dauber to go over the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and I added a few splatters of Hero Arts Gold Spray.
For the front panel I stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink onto a piece of Bazzill Red Hots cardstock with versamark before heat-embossing it with gold powder. Then I trimmed three strips of gold glitter paper in different widths and adhered them vertically to the card. I used foam mounting tape to adhere the magnolia to the panel and then mounted it to a top-folding card base of Simon Says Stamp Cream cardstock.
Make sure you check out all the fabulous inspiration the design team is bringing this week and I look forward to seeing your creations!!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
