Good afternoon! Welcome back to another Christmas Card Challenge! This week we have a really pretty photo challenge:
However, the only real rule is that you create a holiday card…so if you’re not feeling the white on white, no worries!
Here’s my interpretation of the photo challenge:
After my last semi-disastrous experience trying to replicate Christmas cookies on a card I decided to use it more as general inspiration rather than a literal interpretation! This is a fairly simple card that could be easily mass-produced and changed with slightly different sentiments or designs!
To start off I adhered Stick-It adhesive to the back of white glitter paper and then die-cut a snowflake from the glitter paper. I also adhered a piece of Stick-It adhesive to a piece of white cardstock. I die-cut the sentiment from the cardstock and then carefully peeled off the top layer to reveal the other side of the adhesive. I pressed a piece of silver foil to the adhesive and burnished it. When I peeled the sheet of foil back the foil stuck to the adhesive to create a foiled die-cut!
Next I added a few simple scorelines to a piece of white cardstock and a larger piece of silver cardstock. I adhered the white panel to the silver panel and then added my snowflake and sentiment die-cut. To finish the card I added a few pearls and diamond gemstones.
I hope you’ll link up a card this week…for even more design inspiration, don’t forget to visit the rest of the team!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous week!
