Good afternoon! We have five Sundays in August so this week is an additional Anything Goes week!
Here’s my card:
I was going through my stamps this week and realized that I’ve owned that Poinsettia Parade die from Simon Says Stamp since last Christmas but never used it! So I decided to layer the poinsettia for a fuller look but kept the card fairly CAS (I know, I know…that never happens!) 😉
I die-cut the flowers and leaves several times in Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red and Midnight Green cardstock. I offset them and layered them together adhering them by the petals with rolled-up glue dots for a little more dimension. I stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. After I adhered the flower to the card I added a few dots of Pico embellisher to the center of the flower and added some sparkly gold stickles around the flower.
To finish the card I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a dark green card base! I love the texture of the poinsettia…the embossed lines really give the flower a realistic look!

This is a beautiful card. I love the colors with the very dark green with the gold sentiment. It is inspiring me to begin making my Christmas cards. It’s almost September and I haven’t begun!!
