This week we had a really pretty inspiration photo for our color challenge! The colors are traditional red and green but not quite your usual shades of red and green!
I swirled Poppyfield, Bottle, Mermaid, Meadow, and Clover alcohol inks onto a piece of glossy cardstock and once the paper was covered I die-cut the Memory Box Woodland Deer from the cardstock. I added a little Gold mixative to his antlers to give them a metallic sheen and then added a red crystal embellishment for his nose. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Finally I trimmed the panel down and mounted it to a dark red card base! I really love the way it turned out…I’ll have to continue experimenting with alcohol inks…I’m really loving how they turn out! 🙂
I hope you’ll play along this week…we’d love for you to play along with the color challenge but really, the only rule is that you create a holiday card!
