Good afternoon! This week we have a fun inspiration photo for Christmas Card Challengeso! Of course, the only real rule is that you create a holiday card…and as we’re only a few weeks away from Christmas, it’s time to get started on your holiday card stash! Here’s a close-up of this week’s inspiration photo:
I loved the colors in this photo! As I was looking through my stash I realized that I didn’t have any Santa or sleigh stamps…so I decided to go with my gut and stuck with the inspiration colors. Here’s what I created:
I started off by blending dusty concord distress ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Once it was dry I spritzed it all over with the WPlus9 Shimmer spray. Next I die-cut the Birch and Birds from Impression Obsession with Neenah Solar White and red cardstock. Once the trees were cut I pressed my versamark pad all over the die-cuts and then sprinkled them with holographic embossing powder. I followed the same steps with the birds but I used clear powder instead. I heat-set the powder and then set them aside to finish my background panel. I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant and the birch trees from Avery Elle in versamark and the heat-embossed them with white powder. I arranged the trees and attached them with foam mounting tape. Because the die-cuts were a little shorter than the length of my card I added a snowy hill. Finally I attached the birds with foam mounting tape and then mounted the panel to a white card base!
I hope you’ll play along with the challenge this week! I look forward to seeing how you interpret the inspiration photo! For even more inspiration, check out what the rest of the design team has created!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of your evening!
