Good morning and welcome back to the third week of my Christmas in July video tutorial series! You can find week 1 here and week 2 here. Concord & 9th‘s July release came out on the 9th and I couldn’t resist snatching up all their new Christmas sets for today’s video! I created two cards today…one is an (almost one-layer) CAS card and the other is a shaker!
You can watch today’s video below or in HD at my YouTube channel!
My first card uses the O Christmas Tree set and a variety of inks from Hero Arts. I loved the ‘Deck the Halls’ sentiment and decided to use some of the tinier decorative stamps to create a word art Christmas tree! Finally I added a border with the Stripe Builders border set and then matted the panel on a red card base.
My next card is also CAS but it’s a shaker, my all-time favorite card to create! I die-cut the Joy word from the center of a piece of white cardstock and then filled it with red, silver, gold, sparkling clear sequins and red and clear seed beads.
I stamped the rest of the sentiment from the Joy stamp set onto red cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, and then trimmed it down to a label before adhering it to the card with foam mounting tape.
I am really loving this release from Concord and 9th! I have made several more cards using these stamp sets and will share them later this week! I highly recommend heading over to pick them up because they’re sure to sell out soon!
P.S. Fun fact, the music on my video today is performed by yours truly on my harp! This month I’ll be using tracks off of my solo Christmas album on my holiday card tutorial videos and I hope you enjoy them! ?
To help get you in the holiday spirit I have a crafty package of a few supplies that I’ve used to create each card this month. The total contents of the package will be a surprise for the recipient but is valued over $45! To enter leave a comment on each of my Christmas in July posts and this week, let me know your favorite holiday cookie (or your favorite cookie in general if you don’t celebrate Christmas)! ? US and international entries welcome!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Btw – my favourite is the butter cookie. I like the fruit flavoured ones, for some reason I associate the cranberry and orange flavours with the winter holidays

Both cards are awesome but I really like the “deck the halls” card. My favorite cookie is the decorated or frosted sugar cookie.

Your deck the halls card is so fun! I love the colors and design.
My mom makes the best holiday cookies. She bakes about a thousand every year! My favorite is her butterballs. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Loads of butter!

I really love both cards!!! My favorite holiday cook is the Kipferl. My husbands grandmother used to make each married couples in the family these delicious cookies. When she past, I took over. So now I make them for everyone Every Christmas.

I LOVE these stamp sets and dies you used for these cards. You’ve also made me want to buy these. I’m waiting for their new release next week before I purchase them in case there are some awesome goodies coming out that I also must have 🙂 I love decorating Christmas cookies. I try not to eat them, I just love to decorate them. I learned how to flood and decorate cookies last year, so that’s all we did Christmas Eve! (my favorite cookies are chocolate chip, and those aren’t very good frosted in my opinion)
Rosali says
Love these cards! Although they are both CAS you made them extra special with the ombre ink and the shaker area!

Gorgeous designs! Oh I wish I were better at CAS designs! Thanks for the inspirations! My favorite Christmas cookies are snowballs, which i think are like almond sugar cookies covered in powder sugar. They melt in your mouth! Yummers!
