Good morning! I’m so excited to help celebrate the Grand Opening of Catherine Pooler’s Store! The store will open for good this afternoon so head over to subscribe to Catherine’s newsletter to get email notification when the store goes live! And of course, there’s a giveaway to go along with the celebration and you can find that info at the bottom of my post!
I made three cards using the Enchanted Garden stamps and dies and the All About You stamp set and Two Yous dies! These are both really versatile stamp sets and I really enjoyed playing with them! My first two cards use the same coloring technique with the Enchanted Garden stamps.
I love how closely the dies cut…I’m not a big fan of wide die borders and these are perfect! To start I stamped the images onto white cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Next I used a sponge dauber to add color to the center of each flower before blending it out to the edges. I used Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral, and Mowed Lawn distress inks. Once they were dry I used the coordinating dies to die-cut each flower. Next I stamped the sentiment from Enchanted Garden onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I layered the flowers and greenery onto the card surrounding the sentiment. I adhered them with a combination of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a variation in dimension. Finally I added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins.
My second card uses some of the leftover flowers that didn’t fit on the first card. They were so pretty that I didn’t want to throw them away so I used them to make a more CAS card. I stamped a sentiment from All About You with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I layered the flowers and greenery around the sentiment and adhered them with a mix of foam mounting tape and regular adhesive. I also added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish the card.
My last card was intended to be more fall/autumn colors but I’m not quite sure that comes across…oh well, I still like the way it looks! 😉 For this card I stamped the flowers onto watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I used zig markers and a waterbrush to blend color onto the watercolor paper. I set them aside to dry and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I splattered some black acrylic paint onto a white card panel and let it dry overnight. I layered the flowers across the card panel and then adhered them with regular adhesive and foam mounting tape. I die-cut part of the sentiment from the Two Yous die set with black cardstock and adhered it over the flowers. Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment from All About You onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before cutting them down to label sizes. I adhered them on an offset angle and then added a sprinkling of black sequins to finish the card.
I hope this gives you some more ideas on how to use these beautiful stamps! If you missed them in the Stamp of Approval box, you can get them now! 😉
To celebrate her grand opening she’s giving away three $25 gift certificates to random commenters. The more you comment, the better your chances of winning! Comments will close Thursday, September 1st at noon EST and the winners will be announced later that day on Catherine’s blog!

Your designs are gorgeous and the color combos are stunning, too. Thanks for your detailed explanation of how you colored the images. Love the way you used the sponge dauber technique to fade the color out. Will be trying that soon.
