Good morning! Today I’m guesting for the new release from Erin Lee Creative and we’re celebrating with a fun hop and giveaways! Here’s what I created using the pretty Fan Flowers background stamp!
To start I blended a little chipped sapphire and black soot distress oxide ink onto the edges of a panel of dark blue cardstock. I let that dry completely and then stamped the Fan Flowers background stamp onto the panel with no-line ink from Ink on 3. I just wanted a faint outline of the flowers. Then I used finetec metallic gold watercolors to lightly shade the flowers. I didn’t use a lot of water since this isn’t actually watercolor cardstock. I mostly just wanted that gold sheen and a few heavier accents of gold.
Once the watercolors dried I stamped the Fan Flowers again but this time with delicata golden glitz pigment ink. While the ink was still wet I heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder to really bring out the gold shimmer but in a more subtle way than with actual gold embossing powder. I wanted to keep the stamping very delicate. Next I die-cut the Love You die three times, twice from navy blue cardstock and once from gold glitter cardstock. I layered them together and then adhered them to my card. I love how the subtle ink blending really helps the gold pop!
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my card and definitely head over to check out the full release from Erin Lee Creative!!
