Okay, if it’s not abundantly clear already I am not a fan of summer…I don’t like hot weather (or humidity), I don’t like bugs, and summer is only tolerable if I’m on a beach all day everyday. So I am already pining for fall bigtime. Apple-picking, hot cider, fall leaves, pumpkins! Oh I can’t wait! 😉
So I decided to embrace my fall love with this card combining Autumn Time and Fall Dreams from Waffle Flower! I colored both sets during the last coloring challenge and used similar color palettes so they’d work well together!
Don’t those images look like they were meant to go together? I colored everything using mostly cornflower and navy blue shades of copics with pops of rusty orange, cranberry reds, warm browns and greys, and mustard yellows! I also colored around all the die-cut images from Autumn Time with the same blue copics so they’d fit in better. I die-cut Fall Dreams with the coordinating center die and added a back panel colored with dark navy blue copics.
I stamped the sentiment from Be-You-Tiful onto the background panel with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I tucked my stamped images from Autumn Time in and around the Fall Dreams die and adhered everything with a mixture of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape to give the scene a little dimension. I love how it all just works together like it was meant to be!
And that’s it! I’ll go back to dreaming about crisp autumn mornings and let you all get back to enjoying your summer! 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous Monday!
