Hooray!! It’s that time again!! The Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is here! This is always one of my favorite hops…I LOVE the strong feeling of support and friendship throughout the crafting community during these hops and I look forward to being inspired all week long! Here’s my first card (and don’t forget to check out my giveaway at the bottom of this post!):
I love using slightly unconventional colors for autumn and that deep pink and aqua are definitely a little unexpected! 😉 For this card I mixed dies and stamps from Lil’ Inker Designs with some fun patterned paper from Lawn Fawn. To start I die-cut the Coffee Cozy cup with Sweater Weather patterned paper. Then I stamped some of the solid image foliage from Reap a Harvest with inks that matched some of the patterned paper. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and layered them behind the cup. Next I mixed sentiments from Coffee Cozy and Girl’s Best Friend and stamped them on white cardstock. I trimmed that panel down and layered it over more patterned paper. Then I used the Quilted Stitched Pattern coverplate die on a piece of kraft cardstock and and layered all the elements on an angle over it. I added the steam die-cut from vellum and a sprinkling of metallic gold sequins to finish the card.
I know the colors aren’t traditional but I think it still feels like fall, right? 😉
To celebrate the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop I’m giving away a $15 Starbucks gift card (or a gift card to the crafty online store of your choice) to one random commenter! Leave a comment before 11:59PM EST on Friday, September 30th and I’ll announce a winner on October 1st! I’ll be posting several times this week and you can comment on every post for additional entries.
If you’re here for the first time I hope you’ll come by again!
