Good morning! I’m super excited to be a stop on the hop for the Simon Says Stamp Fun and Festive blog hop!!
Have you checked out the new release yet? It’s AMAZING!!!
|
I’ve already shared three cards using the new release here and today I’m sharing another pair of cards using the gorgeous Rina and Alicia snowflake dies! I’ve also created a video that you can watch below or over on my YouTube channel!
I love those gorgeous delicate snowflakes and thought they’d be perfect with a little distress ink smooshed background!
I wanted to go for more modern feel for my first card so I smooshed picked raspberry, abandoned coral, and candied apple distress ink onto the background and splattered it with water, more concentrated distress ink, metallic gold, and metallic red paint.
I die-cut the Alicia snowflake with white cardstock and pressed a versamark pad over one edge. I heat-embossed that with gold tinsel embossing powder to create the look of a gold dipped snowflake! I stamped the sentiment from Tiny Words Christmas three times on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed them down to thin labels and adhered them with foam mounting tape. I finished the card with a few nuvo drops and sparkly jewels!
My second card follows a similar process but uses peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet distress ink.
For this card I die-cut three Rina snowflakes using white and silver glitter cardstock. I adhered them to the card and added an embossed sentiment label Finally I added a few iridescent sequins and nuvo glitter drops to finish the card!

Simple and yet so impressive! Those die cut snowflakes are so elegant that anything you do with them just elevates their effect. Love the gold glitter embossing and silver glitter paper you used on them and the loose watercolouring brought such a modern feel to these gorgeously stunning cards!!
