Good evening! Tonight I’m excited to be sharing two cards using products from the brand new Gina K Designs August release! The release has a great mix of whimsical and floral designs and I’m using one of each for my cards tonight!
First up is this card using the adorable Welcome Home set!
I have a video for this card that you can watch below or over at my YouTube channel:
I decided to create a sunset scene for my cute little birdhouses and blended antique linen, victorian velvet, seedless preserves, and black soot distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock. Once the panel was dry I spritzed it with water and splattered it with white gouache to create stars in the sky.
Next I stamped the little birdhouses from Welcome Home with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder before coloring them with copic markers. I fussy cut them and went over the edge of the houses with a dark copic so the white wouldn’t show. Then I stamped the branch, bird, and sentiment from Welcome Home onto the panel with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I adhered the houses with a mix of foam mounting tape and regular adhesive and then finished the card by adding a few accents with a white gel pen!
My second card uses the gorgeous Delightful Blooms set designed by my super amazing friend, Arjita! Isn’t that flower arrangement stunning?! I love the peony surrounded by the eucalyptus! To start I stamped the arrangement with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I watercolored it with Karin Markers on Arches cold press watercolor paper.
After I finished the arrangement I added a wash of cerulean blue across the background and then gave it a little texture by blotting areas with a paper towel. Once it was dry I added splatters of metallic gold paint and water around the arrangement. I stamped the sentiment from Delightful Blooms onto dark grey cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a thin angled label and then adhered it to the watercolor panel with foam mounting tape to finish the card!
And that’s it from me! There’s lots more to see over on the Gina K website and I’ll be sharing more as the month goes on! 😉 Thanks for stopping by tonight and have a fabulous night! 🙂

Beautiful blending on that birdhouse card! I love love love how you get a peachy tone between the Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet! And on that stunning floral card – I can’t believe that I’ve been watching you for years and have just now realized that gold tinsel ep makes for a better photo than regular gold ep! Thanks for the hint!!
