Good morning! I am so excited to share that the fabulous 2017 Hero Arts release is now available at the Hero Arts shop and we’re celebrating with a huge blog hop! There are SO many gorgeous and adorable stamps and products in this release! You should have arrived from the amazing May Park, but if not, you can head to the Hero Arts blog to start at the beginning!
It was really hard to narrow down what stamp sets I wanted to play with but I figured I’d go with a sweet theme since today is also Valentine’s Day! 🙂
I love the adorable macarons in the French-themed Bon Appetit set and I wanted to try a little no-line watercoloring for my first card. I stamped the macarons onto watercolor paper with a second generation stamping of antique linen distress ink and then used distress inks smooshed on a craft mat to watercolor each macaron. I used seedless preserves, salty ocean, worn lipstick, peacock feathers, and hickory smoke distress ink to paint my macarons. After they were totally dry I stamped the sentiment with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I adhered the watercolor paper to Pool Layering paper and finished the card with sparkling clear sequins and accents with a white gelly roll pen!
My next card uses more traditional watercoloring with the same adorable macarons.
I stamped the same macarons from Bon Appetit and the sentiment from the Color Layering Croissant set with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to paint the macarons. I adhered the panel to Floral Layering Paper and added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins to finish the card.
And those are my cards! I’ve been having such a fun time with the products from this release and you’ll definitely be seeing more from me very soon! 😉 Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away THREE $25 gift certificates to comments selected from all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! My niece loves macaroons so much we made some when she was at my house one time. They didn’t look as pretty as your card but they were fun to make. I love the colors of your macaroons and how festive both of your cards look. I see you used my favorite embellishment of late, sequins. I love sequins! Your cards are very pretty. Thank you for letting us see them and for giving us the chance to win something.

What fabulous cards! They are so fun. Anyone would love to get these. Love the colours and the cas look. It’s nice to see something different as most used the layering stamp sets.
