I shared two cards this weekend on the Hero Arts blog using kit items and add-on items and you can find more information on them here and here.
As you can see my first cards were pretty involved so I decided to go in a very CAS direction for today’s cards. I loved the versatility of this kit and that you can easily go from hello greetings to sympathy cards. I love kits that offer lots of options!
I started by blending soft sky ink onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I added a little summer sky ink blending to the top of the panel. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base.
Next I stamped the solid cloud layer with white pigment ink. Then I stamped the second layer over it with soft sky ink. Finally I added the sea birds and the sentiment with soft granite ink.
My second card just features some simple stamping! I stamped the solid cloud layer onto white cardstock with soft sky ink and then stamped the second layer with summer sky. Without reinking I immediately stamped the layer onto the highest cloud for second generation stamping. I reinked the layer, stamped it once on scratch paper, and then stamped the cloud on the right. I love how it looks like the lighter clouds are highlighted with hints of the darker ink!
To finish the card I stamped the sea birds and sentiment again in soft granite ink. Again a very CAS card but perfect for a sympathy card.
